Baxter Interior Design is an SBID-accredited interior design studio specialising in considered residential renovations and commercial interiors across Brighton & Hove, Sussex, London and the South East.
Led by principal interior designer Martyn Baxter, the studio creates highly individual interiors shaped by meticulous spatial planning, natural light, colour, texture and carefully selected materials. From substantial home renovations to workplace interiors, each project is developed as a cohesive response to the architecture, the people using the space and the way they want to live or work.

Baxter Interior Design was founded in 2019 by Principal Interior Designer Martyn Baxter, creating considered residential and commercial interiors across Brighton & Hove, Sussex, London and the South East.
My approach to interior design begins with understanding how a space needs to work. Careful spatial planning, natural light and circulation form the foundation of each project, before developing a distinctive palette of colour, texture, materials, lighting and bespoke detailing.
I believe the strongest interiors are created collaboratively. Every project starts with understanding the client, the architecture and how the space will be used. From initial concepts through to detailed design, specification and installation, I remain personally involved throughout the process, working alongside clients, architects, contractors, craftspeople and specialist suppliers.
My work is influenced by Scandinavian Modern and Mid-century design, but rather than imposing a particular style, the aim is to create highly individual interiors that feel appropriate to their setting and the people who use them.

Martyn Baxter is an accredited Design Associate of the Society of British & International Interior Design (SBID), reflecting professional competence, industry experience and a commitment to recognised standards of interior design practice.
Baxter Interior Design was also named a Finalist in the SBID International Design Awards 2025 and has received Best of Houzz recognition from 2022–2025.
